A bit about me.

I’m curious by nature, and I like understanding how things work. I ask questions early, because a conversation at the start can save a lot of time and effort later. I enjoy exploring ideas, trying things out and talking to the people who will actually use what we’re making.

I’m hands-on and direct. If something doesn’t make sense to me, I’ll ask about it, explain what I see and help find a way forward. I appreciate the same openness from the people I work with. I take responsibility for my decisions, but I’m comfortable changing my mind when someone brings a perspective I hadn’t considered.

Outside work, I ride my mountain bike, get absorbed in LEGO builds and enjoy making things with my hands. I’m very much a cat person. That’s Simba in the photo.

Making things easier to understand.

At Compass AI, I worked with the founder and developers on a financial forecasting tool.

People needed to understand where a number came from, what they could change and how that would affect their forecast.

Those questions shaped a lot of my work. I spent time figuring out how to explain the information, make changes clear and help people understand what the AI was suggesting.

How I work

Working things through together.

I often use a flow or a rough prototype to help us talk through an idea. It gives everyone something concrete to respond to and helps us spot questions we haven’t answered yet.

On Career Development, I brought the idea to HR and worked with them to understand what would be useful in workshops and annual reviews.

Development time was limited, so part of my role was helping us agree on priorities and keep the work moving.

Working with people

When we see things differently.

When people disagree, I try to understand what matters to each person and where the concern comes from. Sometimes we’re working with different information or making different assumptions.

I’ll explain how I reached a decision and listen to what I might have missed. That conversation is part of getting to a better answer together.

I use AI to explore ideas and build things I can try out. I give it context, look closely at what comes back and work through the parts that need more thought.

What I’d like to work on next.

I’d like to be part of a team where we can talk openly, spend time with users and see how our decisions work out over time. I enjoy staying with a product, learning from what happens after launch and figuring out what to improve next.

I’m especially curious about products that connect software with something physical. I’m also open to software-only products. The people, the problem and how we work together matter to me.

Outside work

I enjoy making things with my hands, too. I work with wood, and the workshop is one of the places I spend time away from the screen. There’s also mountain biking, LEGO and a lot of music.
